May flew by (as all months seem to do nowadays). May was a fun month — two quick trips up to NYC, two of my best friends came to visit me from Kansas City, celebrated 8 years with my Mr., and a few additions to my wardrobe that I’m still on a high about. (Above) This Mexicana Clutch from Cleobella (gifted) has me jazzed. The inside of it is filled with all of the perfect nooks, crannies and pockets for everything you need. I also loved the cover of VOGUE with Kate Upton. The shoot was amazing!
The Mr. and I went on a hike in the George Washington National Forest. This was the view from the top of the mountain. This photo doesn’t do it justice so …
… here is the panoramic I took on my iPhone. Love that feature!
I added the Panama Hat from J.Crew to my wardrobe. My old fedora from Target had seen its last summer, so it was time to invest in a new guy. I am heading to the beach next week (after my little brother’s wedding this weekend!) so I needed a hat with a wide brim for the beach. (Also wearing this Equipment blouse).
On a beautiful day I ran down to Georgetown and along the Potomac toward the Kennedy Center. A look back at the Key Bridge and at Georgetown. (The two pointy towers are Georgetown University.)
The Mr. and I celebrated eight years of marriage! He did good with his flower choice.
Two of my best friends came to visit me from Kansas City for a weekend. I took them around to see the monuments (note to self — wear sunscreen next time) and we ate and shopped our way around DC. We lucked out with sunny weather the entire weekend and took this photo in front of the Capitol building.
Some of my favorite Freda Salvador sandals went on sale, but I couldn’t decide which color to get so I thought I’d try them both on for myself to them in person. Still deciding between tan and black!
Here’s to May — on to June!
