Recently I’ve found a few new AMAZING beauty products. Maybe this is TMI but I never used to sweat, at all. Unless I worked out really hard, I would rarely break a sweat. I don’t know if it’s an age thing (anyone know?) but now I’d say I’m a normal person on the sweat scale. Going from a non-sweater to a normal one definitely makes finding a good deodorant important. Deodorant is one thing that I adamant about using natural products for. I prefer to use natural products all the time but I definitely still use a lot of normal products. You have to find a natural version that is just as good if not better than what you’ve been using, and that can take years of testing products.

ALL-NATURAL DEODORANT — So that deodorant I was talking about, I found an amazing one. There are still others I want to try, but I love this deodorant cream from Soapwalla. The only thing I don’t love about it is that it’s a pot you have to use your fingers in as opposed to a stick, roller or spray where you then don’t have to wash your hands afterward. Not a huge deal, but I feel like I rinse my hands off 20 times while getting ready, so if I didn’t have to use my fingers for my deodorant it would be one less time I have to rinse my hands. However, this deodorant is awesome. If you have one that leaves you less than fresh smelling, seriously try this one from Soapwalla (bottom of the photo).

I’m adamant about using natural deodorant because of all of the links from the ingredients in regular deodorants to breast cancer. This one from Soapwalla is vegan, organic, and made of food-grade ingredients. It is all-natural utilizing superfine vegetable powders and clays, as well as lavender, peppermint and tea tree essential oils to absorb moisture, inhibit bacteria, and ensure a long-lasting and highly effective experience. The frosting-like consistency allows for easy manual application and rapid absorption, and is ideal for all skin types. One more thing to know is that it does not use aluminum zirconium. Aluminum zirconium cause skin cells to swell and in turn pinch your sweat glands closed in order to keep them from releasing perspiration. Also know that it is not an antiperspirant, meaning you will still sweat, it just won’t smell.

GIORGIO ARMANI ROUGE D’ARMANI LIPSTICK — After trying this lipstick out at an event put on by DC beauty blogger Kara Manos of Politics of Pretty I HAD to buy it. This lipstick is AMAZING. I have it in this plum color #601 (pictured) and also #202 and #508. It is super moisturizing and goes on so smoothly. Seriously I want it in every color that looks good on me!

TOM FORD LIPSTICK — I’m a huge Tom Ford fan aesthetically. Everything he does is just beautiful. The Tom Ford beauty line is no different. First I was attracted to the fragrances, then the packaging. The packaging of makeup is like a wine label — I’m drawn to the beautiful ones. Apparently Tom studied architecture, and his packaging seems to show that influence. I love the square lipstick case. I had to give his lipstick a try and I love it. I have it in 03 Casablanca (pictured below). I even love the name. Smooth and creamy, I’m scared to try drugstore brands now…

STONE TEXTILE MAKEUP/TRAVEL POUCH — My friend Elizabeth over at Stone Textile just came out with a cute new product — a makeup/travel pouch. Of course I love that it’s black & white! I’m always using pouches for everything when I travel, so I’m excited to use this cool/chic one!

C. BOOTH HONEY ALMOND DRY OIL — I received this C. Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist from my friend Dallas Shaw‘s Glossybox collaboration, and lemmetellya — it’s amazing. I have a lot of body oils, and this one is my favorite. It smells so good, and I know that “dry oil” sounds impossible, but it’s not. I also love that it’s a spray. I have a thing for pump sprays, I love how easy they are to apply.

VITAMIN D MOISTURE MIST — Speaking of pump sprays, this Vitamin D Moisture Mist is another favorite of mine. Perfect for dry winter days. I’ve got mine on my desk and I just spritz my face when it feels dry throughout the day.

BENEFIT CHA CHA TINT CHEEK STAIN — Once I discovered cheek stains I knew it was a product I’d use forever. All types. Stains stay on so much longer than powder blush. This Cha Cha Tint cheek stain by Benefit is one I use constantly, especially in the winter when I feel a little pale…

MISCHO BEAUTY NAIL LACQUER — This 5-Free nail lacquer is a new fave. Mischo Beauty is a new brand launched by a fellow DC blogger who also just happened to study chemistry. Beauty and brains.

HAIR TIES — I’m crazy for Mane Message hair ties, and these are from my holiday collaboration package. I love that they don’t rip my hair out, they rarely leave a kink (and if they do leave one, it’s the perfect bed-heady kind), and you can slip them on like a bracelet. I also have two other packages — Meg’s Neutrals and Dark Matter.
