COLD SHOULDER

black off-the-shoulder dress

The cold shoulder (or off-the-shoulder) trend caught on really fast this spring. I was at an event a few months ago and literally half of the girls there were wearing an off-the-shoulder top. I wasn’t sure if I was going to jump on board with the trend this season because it was already saturated, but when I found this cold shoulder dress I felt like it was the perfect combination of on-trend and classic.

Honestly, I cannot believe this dress isn’t sold out yet! It’s so easy to wear and super flattering, and under $200! The ruffled layers around the chest made it so that I have no need to wear anything under it on top. Plus it ties at the waist so it cinches you in at your natural waist. A lot of the other off-the-shoulder dresses and tops are very baggy, so if you aren’t a fan of that look, this is the dress for you.

I love how flowy it is and that it’s a midi skirt. It’s black (but also comes in blush) so it’s classic and chic, and can be dressed up or down. To dress it up I wore it with my new fave sandals these tan lace-up sandals. If I wanted to dress it down I’d wear it with these black flats.
