Goat Yoga

Yes, you read that correctly.

Goat Yoga

When I was on a trip to Phoenix, Arizona, we spent an evening in Mesa which really just part of the greater Phoenix area and is only about 30 minutes away from downtown Phoenix.

Why did we go to Mesa? We had to experience goat yoga. Yes, you read that right. Goats and yoga. Together.

We’re in the beginning of a goat yoga craze (don’t believe me, Google it), and now there are goat yoga classes popping up all over the U.S. — wherever there are goats! At this particular farm a lot of people can take the class because it’s in a huge field and there are a lot of goats to go around.

If you are doing yoga with goats in field, obviously it’s not super serious yoga. If you are looking for a serious workout you can get it if you choose, but most people go for a little light yoga, a lot of laughter, and definitely a few funny photos.

You’ll have to watch the video below to get the full effect of goat yoga — the goats just jump up on your back — it’s hilarious. There were people of all ages doing goat yoga together.

If you want to go definitely reserve a spot in advance as it sells out frequently. You don’t have to be good at yoga, you just have to want to have fun!

It doesn’t really hurt but it’s an funny feeling to have a goat jump on your stomach while doing wheel!

I apologize for the poor photo quality but it was dark and hard to take good photos — especially with so many cute goats running around I wanted to hug!
