Link Love

I had a weird week. My BFFs from college were in town last weekend. Fun overload! So Monday was all about catching up on sleep, energy, and work. I feel like I just didn’t get enough work done this week, although besides working out and going to the Foo Fighters (above), that’s all I did. Clearly I need to do some organizing and reevaluation. I’ve also had a quick lesson this week in overcomplication. It’s a fault of mine I’m always working on. Simplify, simplify, simplify. In ways more than just material things.

Let’s move on to some links for the week:

Women aren’t nags, we’re just fed up! Emotional labor is REAL.

Cannot WAIT to see the Obama portraits!

I hadn’t been into Athleta for a while, but I had some gift cards and OMG — I wanted EVERYTHING I tried on. I ended up getting 3 items and I basically can’t take them off. Cozy season! These jogger pants and this hoodie are SO COMFY and SO SOFT. Seriously, best lounge pants I own. I love the fit too. Everything was so so so comfortable and it fit so well. If you’ve never tried their stuff, give it shot!

The Best Halloween on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

Can’t wait to watch this documentary about Joan Didion!

Yessssss, more Milk Bar in DC!

Love the concept of MR Writer’s Club — maybe I’ll have to participate this month…you should too!

I’m going to have to do this next time I go to Kansas City!

If you want to read along with me and my book club, this is the book we are reading right now.

Have you ever taken the Myers-Briggs personality test? I had to take it twice when I was at Hallmark. I had the same result both times spaced out by a few years — ENTP. It’s one of the least common types at around 3% and even less common for women (2.4%). But I already knew I was not so “normal” anyway. While I think maybe people go a little too far with these personality types, when I read the description of mine it is SPOT on. And I feel like it helps describe me and they ways I do things and why in most cases. So I always think it’s funny to click on click-bait Myers-Briggs articles. Just for fun. This one says I’m a fox. Hey, I’ll take it, although I’m not so sure about the description…
