Sometimes things go from slow to insane very quickly. That is how my August went. Really it’s how my year went. From very slow, to all of the sudden back to back projects and travel. Definitely not complaining — I thrive when I’m busy! I know if I stay this busy through the end of the year it will go by in a flash. I wish things could be busy and slow at the same time, ya know!?!
Happened in August:
+ Went to Boston for a photo shoot. Got to (quickly) walk through the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, which I will definitely need to go back to!
+ I did a photo shoot for a stationery client, then did an Instagram Live to show you the behind the scenes of how I style photos.
+ I drove through wet yellow paint in the street that got all over my black car (a gallon of yellow paint was dropped or fell off a truck and spilled all over the street). Luckily we were able to find someone who could get it off without having to repaint the entire side of our car which would have cost thousands.
+ I went to Richmond and saw the YSL show. FABULOUS.
+ I waited in line for 30 minutes at the Air & Space Museum to get special glasses to watch the solar eclipse, then I watched it on the Key Bridge.
+ I went to Lake Tahoe for a few days and stayed at the Resort at Squaw Creek. The fresh mountain air and the pine tree scent made happy memories of my time in the mountains come flooding back to me. I had a lovely time. Posts about it coming up soon.
+ I hosted an event at LOFT in Dupont Circle.
Coming up in September:
+ Besides a lot of work, photo shoots, and painting — September is actually really calm as far as travel goes for me. Unless something comes up quickly, I’ll just be here chugging along on a lot of projects, working out, and reading.
