Raise your hand if you haven’t finished your holiday shopping this year! My hand is high!
It seems like as we get closer to the actual holiday people pop up on your list that you forgot about, or maybe you just haven’t found that perfect gift yet.
Even though DC is a HUGE city, there really aren’t that many great local places to shop for gifts. For how large the city is and the massive traffic we have, the shopping opportunities just don’t correlate. It’s expensive to have retail space here, so it drives shops out to the suburbs or they just can’t survive at all.
One shop that is not just surviving but THRIVING and EXPANDING is Salt & Sundry! They just opened their new Logan Circle/14th Street store and turned their smaller store in the same area into a store called Little Leaf which will specialize in plants and paper. Is it just me or is it hard to find plants around here!?!
If you have more holiday shopping to do or just want to see the new store, join me on Thursday, December 15th at the new Salt & Sundry location at 1625 14th St. NW from 6-9 pm for their Grand Opening/Holiday Party with Anna Beck Jewelry! Get custom holiday gift tags and note cards by Meant To Be Calligraphy for any gifts you purchase during the event!
Speaking of Anna Beck, I’m a fan. I own at least five Anna Beck rings and wear them CONSTANTLY. It’s the type of jewelry that you can wear everyday and goes with pretty much everything. High quality jewelry, designed in LA, made in Bali. I feel like you can find a piece Anna Beck for literally any woman in your life — for your grandma, for your mom, for your sister, for your wife.
If you live in the DC area, Salt & Sundry carries Anna Beck jewelry and if you join me at the event on December 15th, you’ll get to meet Becky, the designer and founder of Anna Beck, and meet Amanda, the founder of Salt & Sundry. Stop by and say hi!
Salt & Sundry carries lots of tableware, barware, and even food items, so you can find something for not only every gal on your list (even babies!) but even the guys on your list. I’ve actually gotten my dad several things from Salt & Sundry (copper mugs!). It’s one of the few shops that really can be your one-stop-shop for holiday shopping this year. You can support a local business, have fun, finish your shopping list, and probably snag a few things for yourself too.
