Frida Art Tee

Frida Art Tee

Need a gift for an artsy friend (or for yourself) — I’ve got just thing!

The #5WomenArtists campaign (to address gender imbalance in the art world) started by the National Museum of Women in the Arts (here in DC!) inspired Liezel Strauss of Subject Matter Art to create Art Girl Rising — the company behind the cool t-shirt I’m wearing!

The NMWA is not affiliated with Art Girl Rising but a portion of the sale of each t-shirt sold is donated to NMWA to help fulfill their mission to champion women through the arts.

Once I saw these awesome tees I had to support and get one! A black and white tee about female artists, I mean, it was a done deal for me.

All 6 of the options come in black or white. I have the black Frida shirt but think I need to get another one in white! Get one here!

It’s no secret that women are underrepresented in the art world. Times are changing, but we have a long way to go! It’s little things like these t-shirts that can help create awareness and make a difference.

One of the best ways to make a difference — buy original art from female artists.
