Now that everyone has gotten through the most recent season of House of Cards, it’s time to go back to trying to find what else is on Netflix. My husband and I have started watching some older movies we’ve found on there, it reminds me how much I like the old movies. They tend to rely on the actors so much more than special effects or fancy shooting. I like the simplicity of it.
7 MOVIES TO WATCH ON NETFLIX
Finding Vivian Maier — LOVED this. Wow was she talented and a very interesting woman.
Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon — My cousin recommended this to me and IT WAS SO INTERESTING. I probably wouldn’t have clicked on it otherwise. I remember seeing it on Netflix, but it just didn’t entice me for whatever reason. A good lesson, don’t just a movie by it’s cover.
A Ballerina’s Tale — A documentary following Misty Copeland’s ballet career. This was good, but it left me wanting more.
The Railway Man — I don’t know why I had low expectations for this movie, but it was great!
The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats Its Young — I’m not sure what looks more painful, this or Desert Runners.
Léon: The Professional — Natalie Portman’s film debut as a kid. Very dark, old school movie.
Primal Fear — Not sure how I missed this movie from 1996 but it’s a great movie. Lots of twists.
