Beauty beauty beauty! I’m back with another Beauty Dossier where I give you my very honest opinion about beauty products I’m testing out.
So while I like this cleansing balm (it’s safe around the eyes), my favorite part of this product is the cleansing mitt that comes with it. I keep it in my shower, and I use it the days I don’t use my Clarisonic. I love how it feels on my skin, that I can use it with any product, I can leave it in my shower, and it gives me a mild exfoliation on the days I don’t want a deeper one.
I want to like this eyeshadow palette so much. I like several other Beauty Pie products – this luminizer and the peachy dreams blush — but I keep trying it on my lids and the colors just keep being just slightly off for me. Also right now I’m just finding that powder eyeshadows are just harder. I feel like I have to apply more, and it doesn’t seem to last. Lately I’ve been wearing mostly pot highlighters as eyeshadow. That said, I think this is great eyeshadow, but I’m just not into powders right now and the colors — while they seem to look exactly like the type I typically wear — when I get them on my eye just don’t do it for me.
I had seen the Wet Brush around and just figured it either wouldn’t work for my type of hair or that I didn’t have enough hair for it. I can admit, I was wrong. Very wrong. I’ve used this brush every time I’ve showered since I got it.
I typically don’t put conditioner on the top of my head, it’s too heavy for my hair, but when I get out of the shower I will spray a detangler all over, wait a few minutes, then start brushing at the bottom of my hair and slowly go higher and higher, and gently brush out the top. It seems to get more tangled up at the top.
Not only does it work, but if feels so good on my head, like a little head massage. Plus, it comes in almost any color you can imagine. While I still have to be gentle, this brush is way better than the pick I’ve been using for 15 years!
This is a great everyday, daytime scent if you like a bold feminine scent. To me it smells mostly floral and a little powdery, but it’s very sophisticated. I’m usually into more musky woody scents, but sometimes and a warm sunny day, those types of scents just don’t work and you need something in the floral category.
Both of these products cleanse the skin. I have had no problems with the cleansing, but my problem with the Supercleanse is that you can’t use it on your eyes. For me, I’m all about efficiency, and since I don’t wear a ton of makeup all the time, I’m not going to separately cleanse my eyes and face. I want to use one product that removes all of my makeup and cleanses my skin. I don’t want to have to be careful with the product around my eyes. The Galacticleanse doesn’t say to avoid the eyes, and again, I felt like it cleansed just fine, but it didn’t dethrone my Easy Does It cleanser.
