On my recent trip to Kansas City I was amazed at how many new watering holes had popped up. So many new breweries! As much as I’d love to say I’ve been to every single one of these places, I haven’t. But that would be impressive wouldn’t it!? Maybe I’ll make it my mission now every time I go home to Kansas City to hit up one that I haven’t been to yet.
I did some research, dug back in my own memory, and asked a few of my Kansas City friends what some of their favorite spots were to come up with this giant list of breweries, distilleries, and places to get a cocktail in Kansas City. If I missed your favorite spot, please leave a comment with a link to it, and why you love it so much and I might add it to the list!

Border Brewing Company — 406 E 18 St, Kansas City, MO 64108
Boulevard Brewing Co. — 2501 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108
If you love beer, Boulevard is a well-known brewing company out of Kansas City. I’m partial to their wheat beer, but I love trying their new beers on their tour!
Brew Lab — 8004 Foster St., Overland Park, KS 66204
Calibration Brewery — 119 Armour Road, North Kansas City, MO 64116

Great place in the Crossroads’ East to grab a beer with friends.
Doughnut Lounge — 4117 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111
This spot is high on my list to visit because, hello — I’m obsessed with doughnuts!
Gordon Biersch — 100 East 14th Street Kansas City, MO 64105 // 11652 Ash Street Leawood, KS 66211
This is actually a chain, but they take their beer very seriously with a large selection. They also have locations all over the US.
Gram & Dun — 600 Ward Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64112
One of my favorite places to eat and drink in Kansas City! They have a huge patio on the Country Club Plaza. You can’t go wrong with the food or the drinks!
Green Lady Lounge — 1809 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108
Green Room Burgers and Beer — 4010 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111
Harry’s Bar & Tables — 501 Westport Rd, Kansas City, MO 64111

If you like a dive, this is the spot for you.
J. Rieger & Co. — 2700 Guinotte Ave, Kansas City, MO 64120
This is their new distillery, but you can also visit The Rieger Hotel for food and drinks. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Kansas City, don’t miss it!
Julep — 4141 Pennsylvania Ave #104, Kansas City, MO 64111
KC Bier Co — 310 West 79th Street, Kansas City, MO 64114
Manifesto — 1924 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64108
This is my favorite place to get a drink in Kansas City. It’s a hidden spot under The Rieger Hotel, it’s tiny, and they don’t like to seat parties over 4 people — they just don’t really have the room. To get a table you have to call or text 816.536.1325. My favorite drink is Stay Wet — vodka, lime, lemon, and egg white. Not a place for the rowdy.
Martin City Brewing Company — 500 East 135th Street, Kansas City MO 64145
McCoy’s Public House — 4057 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111
Rock & Run Brewery and Pub — 114 E Kansas St, Liberty, MO 64068
Rye — 10551 Mission Road, Leawood, KS 66206
Snow & Company — 1815 Wyandotte St, Kansas City, MO 64108
Think snow cones + cocktails. This place is delicious. At some point I want to try everything on the menu, but the three drinks I did try were all amazing. The food is good too!
Stockyards Brewing Company — 1600 Genessee St. Suite #100 Kansas City, MO 64102
The Belfry — 1532 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108
The Big Rip Brewing Company — 216 East 9th Ave., North Kansas City, MO 64116
The Drop — 409 E 31st St., Kansas City, MO 64108 (in Martini Corner)
Oldie but goodie, I used to go here when I was in my early 20s and I felt so cool. Their food really is delicious.
The Drum Room — 1329 Baltimore, Kansas City, MO (in the Hilton President Hotel)
The Foundry — 24 Westport Rd, Kansas City, MO 64111
The Kill Devil Club — 31 East 14th Street, Kansas City, MO 64106
Thou Mayest — 419 E 18th St, Kansas City, MO 64108
Coffee and cocktails — there’s something for everyone. Their cocktails are strong — you’ve been warned. Definitely try the spicy donut.
Tom’s Town — 1701 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64108
If you love a good cocktail with a classy Gatsby environment, this is the spot for you. Inspired by corrupt political boss, Tom Pendergast, this place is definitely worth stopping at.
Torn Label Brewing Company — 1708 Campbell St, Kansas City, MO 64108
Cool little place in Crossroads’ East next to Studios Inc., this brewery uses chair legs as their beer tap handles.
Union Horse Distilling — 11740 W 86th Terrace, Lenexa, KS 66214
Voltaire — 1617 Genessee St, Kansas City, MO 64102
Weston Brewing Company — 500 Welt St., Weston, MO 64098
