My photographer and I have this ongoing joke about always getting caught in the rain because over the past six months, it’s rained more often than not when we are doing shoots outside. It’s almost comical at this point because it’s that often.
This particular shoot I was wearing suede — it’s actually suedette so it was OK. But as we are shooting, there was literally one cloud in the sky, and it was right over us and it just decided to open up. Nowhere else was it raining but on the Key Bridge, while we were trying to shoot.
Now, this “suede” trench coat/dress is not my usual thing, the color mostly. But something about it made me want to try it. The 70s are in this season, and it’s a nod to that. It was so comfortable and fit like a glove so I ended up deciding to keep it.
I felt like it was one of those outfits I’d end up reaching for a lot because it is the outfit, and it’s just easy to throw on over skinny jeans — black or dark wash — with heels without taking the trend too far.
