If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw the massive amount of photos from the Creative Collective Studio launch parties last Thursday (check out our hashtag #ccmstreetdc for all the pics from everyone). Let me explain. We decided to have two different parties because our space is only 750 square feet, so we couldn’t get everyone in all at once, hence the two separate parties. Also that gave us each time to actually attempt to chat with everyone by splitting it up. You know how hosting parties goes — so many people so little time to chat with each of them!
We wanted to celebrate the studio and bring in some of our colleagues, friends, family, and industry peeps to see the studio, and heck, I’m always looking for excuses to celebrate something, invest a killer new dress, and toast with some cocktails (and donuts). Professional photos coming up soon, plus I’ll get into detail about what Creative Collective is exactly in a future post!
Our studio pooch, Lola, was even in attendance all day. She basically stole the show.
The amazing DC catering company Ridgewells graciously catered our event, and I must say I was seriously impressed. Their staff was beyond amazing, and the food, the food! Can you say mini donuts!?! They had planned for every detail. From donuts on striped straws, to even having the icing and sprinkles match our color scheme for the party.
We of course had three types of mimosas during the morning party, (and I didn’t even suggest this) but they also served green juice which was actually a huge hit!
The perfect outfits were a must. I’d been eyeing this Clover Canyon dress for a while, and once it went on sale I scooped it up. Luckily it fit like a glove so I was good to go. It’s one of those dresses that you just feel amazing in because you love it so much and it fits perfectly. Love that feeling.
