KANSAS CITY IN REVIEW // 2.18.12

Sorry about the light posting this week. I was in Kansas City for a family wedding for five days, and returned to a lot of work, edited the photos I took at the wedding (which I’ll share my favorites tomorrow), and have been busy with meetings and things, but I’ll make up for it this week. Here’s a peek at my Kansas City trip. I pretty much ate and drank my way through the weekend. (Above) Went to lunch at cool new restaurant on The Plaza, Gram & Dun.

Also had dinner with friends at another Kansas City newbie, The Rieger Hotel. Afterward we celebrated a friends birthday at somewhat of secret-staircase-type-of-bar (so New York). My drink, Stay Wet, was hands down the best drink I’ve ever had. Literally craving it right now.

This secret bar has a manners list, and no I won’t tell you where it is.

A quick pic of some of the flowers at the reception, and of course it snowed THE DAY I WAS LEAVING. They had to de-ice the plane for 45 minutes before we could take off. That only freaked me out a little. DE-icing means THERE IS ice. But it was fine, I’m alive. Overall, it was one of the most fun trips I’ve had back to visit my friends and family. Lots of food, drinks, family and friends. Totally worth missing fashion week…
