If you followed along with me on Instagram last week you probably got a great peek into my road trip with The Luxury Collection and One Kings Lane. (There’s lots of time between takes to Instagram). Jaime, Andrea, and I had an absolute blast filming for six days and taking in each city — Manchester Village in Vermont, Boston, and New York City (will show the videos when they are ready!).
In Vermont we stayed at The Equinox in Manchester Village, and we were soooooo lucky that we caught the leaves at the perfect time. They were all shades of yellow, orange and red.
Me, Jaime, and Andrea in front of The Equinox which was festive with hay, mums and pumpkins.
Is this not the perfect photos of “bloggers in Vermont” (above, on our phones!)?
LOOK at those leaves! Absolutely stunning! But of course we are editing our photos, tweeting, Instagramming, checking email, etc., between takes.
Pete of Orvis taught us how to fly fish and showed us his handmade fishing lures. He literally goes to the craft store and buys beads and paints them the colors he thinks will attract the fish.
We put on waders and got right in the water. P.S. Waders are not flattering, but are humorous.
Continue reading to see photos from Boston & New York City!
I had never been to Boston (or Vermont!) so it was cool to see a tiny glimpse of each city. We had the best light while shooting in the park across Boston Commons.
In Boston we stayed at The Liberty hotel, which used to be a prison and they had a taste of the prison theme in the hotel. One of the bars was called Alibi which I thought was clever.
The Liberty has bikes you can take out on a stroll so we did just that.
Charles Street in Beacon Hill, is full of shopping, and is literally right across from The Liberty. Shopping all of the adorable shops could take days! Just a good reason for me to go back…
We had dinner one evening at The Oceanaire where I tried crab, lobster, and scallops for the first time. I loved the crab legs. Lobster and scallops were fine but will have to grow on me…
In New York we stayed at the super chic art deco hotel The Chatwal. Talk about luxury, this is it.
I wasn’t too sad about crawling into this cushy bed at night. And yes, that is a Noguchi coffee table.
We spent a gorgeous day in Central Park. I’ve never really climbed around in Central Park so it was fun to see it from a different point of view.
We also went to a Broadway show, Pippen, at Music Box. Pippen was like Broadway meets Cirque du Soleil, both of which I’m a fan. I’ve seen a ton of shows, but none in New York so this trip was full of firsts for me!
The bathroom at The Chatwal probably rivals some New York City apartments… even the shower was ginormous.
Overall the trip was amazing! It was interesting to go from the quiet rustic small town of Manchester Village in Vermont with the gorgeous leaves to the bustling cities of Boston and New York. Shooting videos (with an amazing crew from Nomad) is no joke (they shoot for Vogue, Dior, Chanel)! This was my first big serious video shoot, and I must say… I loved it!
Tell me, have you been to Vermont, Boston or New York? If not, you can enter to win 25,000 Starwood points and a $200 gift card to One Kings Lane (giveaway ends today!) and head to one of these hotels for an experience of your own!
