But first this view…
I told you I’d be back with more details from my stay at the St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami. Make sure to read this post first so you know what I’m talking about, but I wanted to share more photos from the gorgeous property (and pretend like I am still there in my head).
Dining alfresco, one of the most enjoyable things in life.
I mean #paradise. The perfect place to work by the pool. Shade = being able to see your computer screen.
Not a crumb left after I got my fork into this.
Cool geometric view of the St. Regis Bal Harbour property from my balcony.
I mentioned the size of the balconies and wanted to give you a glimpse of them. This is the view from the balcony off the living space, you can see the balcony off our bedroom and the balcony below.
Can I go back yet because ya, it’s my happy place.
You may have caught onto this, but there is purple and lavender throughout the property. The bar was beautiful, I even got to witness the daily sabering of champagne they do at 7:30 pm (video of that coming up!).
Just one one more view from the balcony, ya know, so you can really feel what it was like just at a glance out the bedroom window (you’ve booked a trip already, right?).
I actually didn’t notice what was going on in the black painting until I edited this photo. In certain light you can’t see the light parts, it just looks black, but I crouched down to the floor to get a good view of the ceiling for this photo, so it revealed the painting — cool!
The abstracted rose design (or at least I’m guessing that’s what it is) starts at the door handles in the lobby, and is repeated throughout the ceilings in the lobby and main hotel hallway.
This is one of four pools. Two pools are for the residents (so there are actually three towers, two are residential, and the hotel tower also has residences), this is the main pool and there is also an adult pool. (Video coming of the two hotel pools.)
There were too many places I wanted to spend time — the beach, the pool, dining al fresco, on our balconies… I mean I would have just rotated between those for and the spa for a week if I could have. Why leave? So one night I was trying to maximize the balcony time and I literally fell asleep out on the balcony for like three hours. Woke up at 2 am or so and moved to the bed.
I mentioned the salted caramel ice cream sundae, and here’s a photo. It was dark restaurant lighting so hence the bad photo but it deserved a moment. I could have done without the peanuts and added more popcorn, but I ate every ounce of this thing after some alligator beignets, white truffle pizza, and filet mignon. Legit gained a few pounds.
Last but not least, the lighting fixture in the dining room of our suite — photo worthy.
Tell me, what’s the best vacation you’ve ever been on?
Most breath-taking beach you’ve ever experienced?
