You may have seen some of this on my Instagram Stories or even in person, but I wanted to share the photos from when I painted a mural on the storefront of the the Lou & Grey store at Tyson’s Corner last week!
When Lou & Grey asked if I was interested in this project I could not have been more excited. They asked 3 additional artists in different cities to do murals on their stores in other locations (follow them on Instagram to see pics from those murals soon!). I can’t wait to see all of the final photos from the other murals!
They wanted me to do something abstract like my paintings, so I presented three concepts, nailed down the color palette — one month and a really tall ladder later — voila! Scroll down to the end to see the final mural!
I love how the brushy strokes came out. It looks so beautiful in the daylight that comes through the ceiling of the mall.
I’m wearing the Text Me Hoodie in the photos. I also got these Zen Sweatpants and they are THE SOFTEST thing in my entire wardrobe (I’m actually wearing them as I type this).
I am so happy with how the mural turned out and the team at Lou & Grey was AMAZING to work with. These types of art-related projects are (clearly) my favorite thing to do.
If you are in the DC area and you happen to go to the Lou & Grey store in Tyson’s Corner, snap a pic on Instagram Stories and tag me! It will be up for 2-3 months.
