As we enter the holiday season (November/December) I feel the need to majorly simplify so I can concentrate — hence a black and white mood board for this month.
Yesterday I reorganized my entire home office, rearranged the furniture, finally hung some art on the walls, put one box of frames in the attic. Okay okay, my in-laws are in town and that gave me some motivation to do it, but my home office was a MESS and needed some major attention. It’s still overcrowded and I don’t want that much stuff in there, but I’m working on it. It’s really my main storage room and my closet. I keep our bedroom really simple, and even our living space I try to keep clutter free. Our coffee table and dining table have NOTHING on them. And I try to keep the counters free of stuff as well.
Happened in October:
+ I rode my bike to Mount Vernon from my house. 26 miles round trip.
+ I hosted the #LeopardLeopardLeopard event at the kate spade new york in CityCenter.
+ Three of my best friends from college came to DC to visit me and I took them as many places as I could!
+ I got to attend an awesome event at the National Museum of African American History & Culture which is a very well done museum. A must see in DC, but you need to get tickets in advance!
+ I hosted an event at Longchamp in CityCenter.
Coming up in November:
+ My in-laws are in town for a few days so I’ll be doing some touristy stuff and trying out some new restaurants in our neighborhood.
+ I’m so excited to be going to the Washingtonian’s Most Powerful Women Luncheon.
+ I have a dentist appointment, woh woh.
+ I am NOT excited about Daylight Savings ending.
+ I’m excited for book club…should probably start the book we are reading this month!
+ I’ll be heading home to Kansas City for a week to see family and friends for Thanksgiving.
+ On the 29th I’ll be hosting an event at the CB2 in Georgetown!
+ I’ll be getting all of my holiday gift guides together for you! Let me know if there’s anything specific that you’d like to see!
