I don’t have a money tree in my back yard to just buy anything I want when I want (if you do I’m coming over!). I try to make smart decisions with what I chose to purchase to wear. Typically at the beginning of each season I take an assessment of what I have for that season, where the holes in my wardrobe are, and what new pieces I need to bring in. (In photo above I’m wearing earrings from WKNDLA and this dress).
I usually just get a few things that I really like, and wear them over and over. I remember my 5th Grade Teacher had so many clothes she only rewore each outfit 2x a year. How hilarious is that!?! Those were the days of cotton stirrup pants and giant colorful t-shirts and sweatshirts (and I guess that was professional enough for a Catholic elementary school…). I don’t have that many outfits, but the memory is just funny to me.
Honestly, I only shop a few different places, mostly online, and only places that have free shipping and free returns unless I really want something from a cool independent shop, I like to support them too. But I’d say I do the bulk of my shopping on Shopbop because I just like the site, the service is great, the shipping is fast and I love the heart system they have so I can keep track of what I like. Right now they is having a sale which is just a good time to pick up a few items for fall — why not get them on sale!? If you don’t like them, just send them back.
Get 20% off orders under $500 or 25% off orders over $500. Get all the sale details and exclusions here. Sale ends 9/29/18. Code is STOCKUP18 — enter it at checkout. I’ve linked to a few of my favorites:

Thank you for always telling us about the ShopBop sale and linking things you like. Sometimes I find myself endlessly scrolling and then to tired to pick anything to buy. I do need to get my fall wardrobe on the brain.
Hey Meg,
I’ve just found your blog and I really enjoyed all the posts, thank you for your time and work! 🙂
