I’m very picky with it comes to jewelry. Ok I’m very picky when it comes to just about anything, or as my mom’s husband likes to say, I’m particular. Bless him.
There are really only two types of earrings I wear. Studs and giant statement earrings. Not really too much in between. I’m either the simple edgy stud type or the giant attention-getting statement.
Since I wear my hair in a bun every day my ears are more prominent so I never leave the house without earrings (unless I’m just going to the gym or walking the dog).
It’s hard for me to find jewelry that I really really like, so when I do I always consider a purchase. I think you’d be surprised, I have a pretty tame jewelry collection.
I think big earrings are making a comeback because I’ve seen so many huge pairs of earrings that I’m obsessed with lately so I thought it was time for a Meg’s Edit for statement earrings. Here are 19 pairs that I’m loving right now!

Burlington (formerly Burlington Coat Factory) had knock-offs of the KJL earrings a couple months ago. They sold out so fast and I’m still bummed about it 🙁
I like these. I need to get back into the earring thing. my ears went through a phase of being allergic to all of them, however, I need to see if that’s still the case.
That’s hysterical about your mom’s husband. I’m rather particular myself.
Great picks, Meg! Wanted to let you know about a socially conscious biz called HEY GIRL EARRINGS – lots of cool and affordable statement earrings and they reach women business and digital skills. They’re based in Austin Texas.
