I first saw this product concept on Shark Tank years ago. For whatever reason I didn’t get one, but recently when I was purchasing some organization boxes I needed to hit a number for free shipping and found this makeup spatula on the site.
I knew I’d use it and it would end up saving me a lot of money over time (why didn’t I get one sooner?).
The main thing I use it for is my concealer. I’ve been using the same type of concealer for well, honestly I’m not sure. Over a decade, possibly since college.
The Lancome Maquicomplet concealer is the best concealer I’ve ever tried (I wear 210 Buff, previously called Clair II). Now, I haven’t tried them all — a lot of people love Tarte’s Shape Tape, Glossier’s Stretch, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Hour, Cle de Peau. I’ve tried the Hourglass one and it was too dry for me. But I really have no reason to look for another concealer because I love the one I have.
I also think the BareMinerals BareSkin is a great concealer — it’s my backup. It’s a little more oily and gives a bit more of a dewey look. So if you have super dry skin, try it.
The problem with concealer is it’s really hard to get it all out of the tube! And especially with mine, the doe foot tip just doesn’t reach all the product, and that little tube isn’t cheap — I want EVERY DROP out of it. (Make sure you wash it off after you use it each time!)
The makeup spatula is the perfect tool and makes my concealer last several weeks longer. Yes, WEEKS. I probably save myself 1-2 tubes a year just with this tiny little tool.
